Done With Audition!!!

Just wanna tell you guys that I've done my audition for admission in Lasalle on last Friday 29th November 2019. I was feeling a little bit nervous but it was fine though! It wasn't as nerve-wrecking as normal audition. And this audition is way different than the other normal dance audition. So here it goes..

I came for the Audition with 2 other guys. So total 3 of us will be auditioning together accompanied with 5 Lasalle Dance students. It was awkward but I knew I'm the oldest there so I have to be friendly with the young teens HAHA! The Audition is actually a dance class that we attended for 2 hrs. There is a lecturer who will teach the dance and us , the auditionees will just learn and follow through. It was a struggle part for me in the beginning. Let's hear me out > <

The dance class is consists of  Ballet, Contemporary and Improvisation. The first session was ballet ;') ! Definitely ! Definitely ! It is tough for me because I didn't have any ballet background and more experienced in Hip hop. Although I couldn't execute the steps well like I need to emphasize more on the specific body part for that step, I will still be able to understand how is the execution like?  I wasn't that bad to learn ballet but the lower limbs start to feel the cramps a little bit HAHA cause they use ore on toes, ankle and knees.

The second session was not really hard because it's contemp! Even though I only did one performance in contemp, but it's already like my another favourite genre because of the mood and the vibe is exposed to the inner side of me. For this session, we did more on floor work because we learnt how to connect our body to the floor more and executing the movements smoothly and continuously.~ 

ANDDDD... Finally the last session for the audition! Improvisation. It it my favourite part in contemp because it's about freestyling and how you connect from one body parts to the other one. Through this session, I really learnt more about improv and I guess I did well on that because I'm used to it ^^ It was satisfying to do contemporary improv. To end the day, we sat in a circle and share what we have learnt, challenged through through this sessions for the past 2 hours. 

That's all for the audition! And now I'll just wait for the email/call from Lasalle whether will I pass through the audition or nah? Yeahhh! That'sss and goodnight! See you guys again :)
